Description
Hilltop Cottage is a house dating from the 18th century, constructed with a timber frame and featuring colourwashed roughcast render along with some applied timber framing. It has a thatched roof and a three-room plan, consisting of one storey and attics, with the gable end facing the road.
On the southeast elevation, the ground floor includes one two-light and two three-light casement windows with leaded lights. The attic features three eyebrow dormers, each with two-light leaded casements. There is a 20th-century gabled porch situated between the two left-hand bays. A red brick external chimney stack is located on the road-facing gable end, while a red brick ridge stack that served the two right-hand bays has been removed. Additionally, there is a colourwashed brick lean-to addition on the right-hand gable end.
