Description
The Grange is a house dating from around 1700, constructed of red brick featuring a chequerwork pattern with flared headers. It has a hipped clay tile roof and originally consists of two storeys, with a single room depth. The front facade has seven windows, all sash style, with the first-floor windows having glazing bars and the ground-floor windows having glazing bars only on the upper sashes. The facade is adorned with gauged brick flat arches and a brick band at the first-floor level. The central doorway features a six-moulded panel door topped with a flat hood supported by ornamental cut brackets. There are integral stacks on both end walls and an off-centre stack on the rear wall. The house has various 19th-century additions at the rear.
