Description

Pond Farmhouse is a house, likely dating back to the 17th century but significantly altered in the later 18th century. It is constructed of red brick, with some areas of cement render over a timber-framed structure on the north side and rear. The roof is covered with clay tiles, hipped in style. Originally designed with an L-shaped plan over two floors, it has later additions to the rear, creating a double-pile layout. The front of the house contains three three-light casement windows on each floor, all topped with gauged brick flat arches. A six-panel door is also set within a gauged brick flat arch, positioned in line with a back-to-back hearth served by a red brick ridge stack.
