Description

Greenfield Farmhouse is a 17th-century house with 19th-century alterations, located on High Street, Flitton. It is a substantial timber-framed building with red brick infill, and parts of the ground floor rebuilt in red brick. The roof is covered in clay tiles. Originally a 3-room plan, the house is two storeys high with a gable end facing the road. The east elevation features a ground-floor canted bay with sash windows, and a single 2-light horizontal sash window with glazing bars. The first floor has three 2-light casements with glazing bars. A French window with a trelliswork porch is present, along with a part-glazed door to the right. A red brick double ridge stack is visible. A two-storied brick addition with sash windows is set into the west elevation.
