Description

No 1 Church Street is a building dating from the late 17th century to early 18th century, with a refacing in the 19th century. It has two storeys constructed of brick, which is now covered in stucco, and is topped by a steep tiled roof. The ground floor features a modern shopfront, while the upper floor has two sash windows set in broad frames that project slightly from the wall. There is also a gabled dormer with shaped bargeboards. This building is part of a group that includes Nos 1 to 39 (odd) and the Court House, alongside No 127 Dunstable Street.
