Description
Nos. 121, 123, and 125 High Road is a house that has been divided into three properties, dating from around 1600. It features a substantial timber-framed structure, with the ground floor of the west cross-wing built out in brick. Some parts of the building have pebbledash render, while others have cement render that is incised to imitate ashlar. The roofs are covered with clay tiles. The building is designed in an H-plan and has two storeys, with the east cross-wing being slightly lower. There is a variety of windows, mostly consisting of 20th-century replacement casements with glazing bars, along with 20th-century rectangular bay windows to the south of the cross-wings. A 20th-century gabled porch is located on the west side. The central block has a multiple brick ridge stack, and there are brick ridge stacks on the cross-wings. Inside, the ground floor fireplace in the central block features a four-centred arch with carved mouldings.
