Description
Parsonage Farmhouse is a house that dates back to the 16th century or earlier, with significant alterations made in the late 19th century. It features a complete red brick outer skin, while some substantial timber framing is exposed internally. The roofs are covered with clay tiles. The building is arranged as a two-storey rectangular block, with slightly lower two-storey wings that project to the northeast and southwest. Throughout the house, there are 19th-century casement windows.
On the eastern elevation, there is a six-panel door, with the top pair being glazed, aligned with a red brick multiple ridge stack. The main block has another ridge stack, the northeast block has a gable end stack, and the southwest block has an external stack on the south side wall. Inside, the largest ridge stack serves a substantial ashlar back-to-back hearth, and there is evidence of a blocked mullioned window. One room features 18th-century panelling.
