Description

The Hollies is a house with origins in the 17th century, significantly reworked in the 18th century. The west, north, and east elevations are built of 18th-century brick, while the south elevation is colourwashed render. The house appears to retain some of its original timber-framed structure and has a clay tile roof. It follows a two-room plan, extending over two storeys and incorporating attics.

The north elevation features flush sash windows with glazing bars; two windows are on the ground floor, and three on the first floor, with the ground floor windows set beneath segmental heads. A brick band runs along the first-floor level. The central doorway has a six-panel door, with the upper pair of panels glazed, accompanied by a pilastered surround and a moulded triangular pediment. A red brick ridge stack, serving back-to-back hearths, is located in line with the doorway. A single-storey addition is present at one end, with a lean-to extension to the rear elevation.
