Description

Rectory Cottage is a house, originally two separate properties, dating to the 17th century or earlier. It is timber-framed with colourwashed plaster infill, and has a thatched roof, hipped at the south end. Number 10 is a single storey with attics, comprising three rooms, while number 12 is two storeys and consists of two rooms. The windows are a variety of casement types, all with leaded lights. A 20th-century part-glazed plank door is located at number 12. A red brick ridge stack is situated near the junction with the left-hand block, and a red brick integral stack is set into the rear wall of the lower block's right-hand bay. The rear elevation features outshot and eyebrow dormers.
