Description
The Church of All Saints is a parish church that was rebuilt by subscription in 1857 in a loosely 14th-century style, replacing an original church from the 12th to 13th century. It is constructed of coursed ironstone with ashlar dressings and has clay tile roofs. The building is small and compact, consisting of a chancel, nave, north transept, north vestry, and south porch tower. The chancel, nave, and transept feature two cinquefoiled-light windows under flat heads on the side elevations. Each gable end has a pointed-arched three-light window, with the east window displaying the most ornate tracery. The north vestry is a later addition with a flat roof and plain openings. The porch tower is designed in three stages, with a pointed south archway. The middle and upper stages have two-light windows similar to those found elsewhere on the church. The tower is topped with a sprocketed pyramidal roof above a dentil cornice. The south doorway is a reused 13th-century feature. The interior is very plain but retains an octagonal font, which is likely also from the 13th century.
