Description
The Old Vicarage is a former vicarage that has been converted into a house. It dates from the 18th century and was rebuilt and extended in 1878, as indicated by a date plaque. The building features a colour washed rough cast earlier rear wing and a chequered brick front wing, topped with a clay tiled two-span roof. It has a double pile plan and is two storeys high, with attics in the rear wing.
The front elevation is characterized by three gables, with a central glazed front door set within a latticed porch. This door is flanked by recessed sash windows that have glazing bars and serrated edged hoods. On the first floor, there are three smaller sash windows that match those below. The rear wing primarily contains 20th-century casement windows, although the northeast gable retains a horizontal sash window in the attic, and the southwest gable has a sash window on the first floor.
