Description

This is a group value listing for a terrace of three 19th-century cottages located on the north-east side of High Street, Sharnbrook. The cottages are built of limestone rubble, with a roof of a mix of slate and old clay tiles. The terrace is two storeys high with attics, and features four dormers: two simple box dormers and two hipped dormers. The windows are 3-light casements, with eight on the first floor and six on the ground floor. Many have leaded lights, and all are topped with flat arches supported by stones on edge. Number 75, formerly known as Wentworth Cottage, has a ribbed door surround with a corniced hood. Number 73, previously known as The Old Cottage, has a plain wooden door surround.
