Description

No. 97 High Street is a late 17th century or early 18th century house constructed from limestone rubble with an old clay tile roof. The building has two storeys and features a symmetrical front elevation. On the first floor, there are three leaded casement windows with wooden mullions and transoms. The ground floor includes one similar window to the right of the former front door and a sash window to the left. The southeast gable end has a pedimented porch supported by reeded cast-iron slim columns with foliated capitals. At the rear, there is a 19th century wing made of rendered brick.
