Description

A terrace of four early 19th-century cottages is located on The Avenue in Bletsoe. The cottages are constructed of local chequered brick with light-coloured headers, and have Welsh slate roofs. The plan of each pair of cottages is arranged around a double-sided hearth, with two rooms downstairs and two upstairs. Each cottage, except number 52, has a door and a ground-floor window set under slightly cambered heads, alongside two first-floor windows. The windows are Yorkshire casements with glazing bars. It is included on the list for group value.
