Description

A terrace of nine cottages located on Chorley Old Road in Bolton, dating from the late 18th century. The cottages are built of roughly coursed and squared stone in small blocks, with Welsh slate roofs. They are arranged as single units, double pile, with the exception of number 1618, which is a two-unit plan. Each cottage has two storeys, featuring 3-light casement windows in original openings, with painted stone lintels to the doorways and windows. Number 1606 has replacement windows. End wall stacks are present. The interiors have not been inspected.
