No. 5 Mill Road is a cottage dating from around 1700. It features colour washed rough cast over a timber frame with brick infill and has a thatched roof. The building has a two-room plan and is one storey high with attics. The entrance is located at the rear, while the front door is flanked by two casement windows. A red brick ridge stack serves a back-to-back fireplace. There is also a lean-to addition on the west elevation.
