Description

Newport Arms is a house dating from around 1700, with later alterations. It features a colour washed rough cast exterior over a timber frame and has an old clay tile roof that is half-hipped. The building has a three-room plan and stands two storeys high, with its gable end facing the road. On the south elevation, there are two 2-light leaded casements on each floor, and a 20th-century gabled porch is located to the right. A red brick ridge stack serves a back-to-back hearth for the two left-hand bays. There are lean-to additions on the north and west sides.
