Description
Scald End Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century, with alterations and additions made in the 19th century. It features colour washed plaster over a timber frame and some brick, along with a brick wing. The roof is covered with old clay tiles. The original structure likely had a two-room plan with one storey and attics, which was raised to two storeys in the 19th century. During this time, a northern bay and a brick rear wing were added, creating an L-shaped plan. The east elevation has two sash windows with glazing bars on the ground floor, two sash windows, and one three-light casement window on the first floor. The front door is aligned with a red brick ridge stack that serves a back-to-back hearth.
