Description
Grove Farmhouse is a pair of 18th century houses that are joined together, with 19th century alterations and an extension at the rear. The main section is built of coursed limestone rubble and features an old clay tile roof. Each house has brick chimney stacks located within their gable ends, with the two central stacks conjoined. The buildings are two storeys high with attics and each has a symmetrical front elevation. The left house includes two three-light dormers and two three-light windows on the ground floor. The right house has two gabled attic dormers with two lights each, three first floor windows, and two ground floor windows, all of which are three-light except for the central first floor window above the front door, which has two lights. This window is complemented by a wooden porch that has a flat cavetto moulded hood supported by two circular columns. All main windows feature pointed arched glazing bars.
