Description
Dower Cottage is a cottage that was originally a pair of gardeners' cottages, dating from the 18th century, with 20th-century repairs and alterations. It is constructed of red brick and features a hipped roof made of old clay tiles. The cottage has a three-room plan and stands two storeys tall.
On the front elevation, the ground floor includes two 20th-century casement windows and one two-light casement window with glazing bars. The first floor has three two-light casement windows, also with glazing bars. There is a 20th-century central front door. The cottage has two red brick ridge stacks and a red brick lean-to addition on the north side, which includes a gabled wooden porch. The building is listed for its group value.
