Description

The ice house at Howbury Hall dates from the early 19th century and is constructed of red brick. It is small and circular in shape, set into an earth bank. The entrance is located on the north side, featuring a plank door beneath a flat arch, which is flanked by brick pilasters. The structure has a flat roof with stone coping. Inside, there is a vaulted tunnel that leads to a chamber lined with brick. This building is listed for its group value with Howbury Hall.
