Description
Woodfield Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse with a timber frame and a colour washed rough cast exterior. The north gable of the cross-wing was rebuilt in the 20th century using brick, and the roof is covered with 20th-century clay tiles. The building has a T-plan layout and is two storeys high.
On the south elevation, the main block features two 4-light casements on the ground floor, which flank a gabled porch aligned with a red brick double ridge stack. The first floor has three paired casements, while the cross-wing has a 3-light casement on the first floor. All casements include glazing bars. There are two doors, one leading to the cross-wing and the other to the main block porch, both of which are 19th-century and part glazed with moulded surrounds.
The north elevation includes a 20th-century lean-to addition to the main block, which has a porch topped with a gabled dormer and features 20th-century casements. Additionally, there is a one-storey outhouse addition at the east gable end.
