Description
Cherry Cottage is a house that likely originated in the 17th century and was encased in the mid-18th century, with some alterations made in the late 20th century. The building is probably timber-framed and clad in painted brick, topped with a tile roof and featuring a rear stack. It is one storey high with an attic that is illuminated by a gabled dormer. The front has two windows, which are two-light casements set beneath segmental heads. The central entrance is framed by a wooden architrave, also with a segmental head, and features a ledged and boarded door. To the left, there is a low single-storey extension from the 18th century that has a 20th-century fixed casement. The exposed gable end truss on the left side has two struts supporting the collar and trenched purlins.
