Description
Bevere Bridge is a bridge built in the mid-19th century. It features blue brick abutments arranged in English bond, topped with stone copings, and has a cast iron archway and railings. The bridge has a single span with an elliptical arch supported by a framework of three cast iron arches, which are reinforced with lateral cross supports. The railings are cambered and have interlaced round heads, along with a diaper frieze at the base. Where the railings connect to the brick abutments, they extend as walls with stone copings, which are splayed and end in square piers topped with pyramidal cappings. The surface of the bridge is paved with bricks.
