Description
Sherbourne House is an early 19th-century brick house located on Elmley Road in Ashton Under Hill. It features a shallow-pitched slate roof and end stacks, rising to three storeys with a dentilled eaves cornice. The building has three bays, with windows that have rusticated lintels, projecting keyblocks, and stone sills. The outer bays on the ground floor and first floor contain 16-pane sash windows, while the central first-floor window is a 12-pane sash. On the second floor, there are three 6-pane sash windows. The central entrance is framed by an open pediment and pilastered surround, leading to a 6-panelled door, of which four panels are raised and fielded, topped by a plain fanlight. There is also a two-storey wing at the rear left that is of the same period. The interior has not been inspected.
