Description

The Manor House is a house that has been divided into two dwellings. It dates from the late 17th century and has undergone alterations in the mid-19th century and late 20th century. The building is constructed of limestone ashlar and features a machine-tiled roof with large roughcast ridge stacks. It has an H-plan layout and is two storeys tall with an attic that includes dormers.

The west front elevation consists of two bays, three bays, and then two bays again. The central section has two ground floor and three first floor cross-casements, which are mostly replacements except for the central first floor window. Above this section is a 19th-century gabled dormer with a two-light 20th-century casement. The central entrance is framed by a moulded architrave and features double doors with raised and fielded panels.

On the left gable end, there are two ground floor 30-pane sash windows, two first floor 20th-century cross-casements, and a similar window in the attic. The right gable end has two 20th-century cross-casements on both floors and in the attic. The windows on the main floors have 20th-century stone lintels, while the attic windows have flat arches.

Inside, the central and rear right ground floor rooms have retained their original panelling. At the centre of the right wing, there is a large open well staircase with slender spiral balusters, a moulded handrail, and a panelled dado.
