The Post Office GV II

House C17 refaced in early C18. Main range early C18 red brick faced, with ashlar dressings, L-plan with plain tile roofs hipped at angle and one ridge stack. At North end blue lias stone range, gable ended to street probably cross-wing of recased C17 house. Brick stack on North roof slope. Main range: basement, 2-storey and attic. Two dormers to South, one to West front. Moulded wooden eaves, raised ashlar quoins and moulded band. Rubble stone plinth. Two window range to West front, wooden cross windows with iron casements. Gauged brick window heads with flush stone keystones. Ground floor window altered to C19 splayed bay with tiled roof extended over door. South front, 2 window range of cross windows. Flush quoins at West end only, no keystones. Rear, blue lias stone with cross windows. North end, iron casement pairs to ground and 1st floor of West gable and one window range to North side.
