Description

The Priory is a house dating from the 17th century, which was remodelled in the early 19th century and extended in the late 19th century, with a late 20th-century restoration. It is constructed of coursed lias rubble with ashlar dressings, with a later brick extension and a Cotswold stone roof. Gable-end stacks are present. The house is two storeys with an attic, the latter lit by a nine-pane sash window within a pediment. There are three windows, all 25-pane sashes with trefoiled heads to the upper panes – these are fixed to the frame. The central entrance is approached via a late 19th-century brick porch with stone dressings. Blocked 17th-century windows are visible in the right-hand gable-end.
