Description

Thatchways is a house dating to the 17th century, with alterations made in the late 20th century. It is timber-framed with rendered infill, set upon a stone plinth, and has a thatched roof. The house gables onto the street with a lateral stone stack to the south. The upper storey has a 2-light casement window over a canted oriel, which itself is covered by a hipped thatched roof. An entrance is located to the right-hand side within a rubble extension and is sheltered by a thatched canopy. The timber framing is arranged in three square panels high, incorporating straight angle braces.
