Description

Little Thatch Cottage, also known as Maypole Corner Cottage, is a house, now divided into two dwellings, dating to the 16th century, with later 20th-century alterations. The house has a timber-frame structure with rendered infill, set on a stone plinth. The west gable is constructed of coursed lias rubble. It has a thatched roof and a gable-end stack on the east side. The house has one storey and an attic, with three casement windows cut into the thatch. On the ground floor are seven 20th-century fixed casement windows. There are entrances in each gable. The timber framing consists of two rectangular panels in height, featuring a curved tension brace.
