Description
The gate piers, adjoining walls, and stable block located about 14 yards southeast of the Vicarage date from the late 18th century, with some alterations made in the mid-19th century. They are constructed from sandstone ashlar and brick. The gate piers are octagonal and the adjoining wall has a sandstone base, primarily built in garden wall bond with sandstone capping. The wall is approximately nine feet high and extends about 35 yards to the west and about five yards to the east, where it connects to the stable block.
The stable block features a plain tiled roof with gable end parapets and is two storeys high with a dentilled eaves cornice. It has two bays, with the elevation facing the rectory showcasing two large doorways and a blocked window, all featuring cambered heads. The elevation facing the road includes a loft door and loft openings with cambered heads in each gable end. This structure is included for its group value.
