Description
This house, now a shop and office, occupies a corner site in Pershore. It was likely built in the 17th century and remodelled in the early 19th century. The building is timber-framed and has been rendered with a lined stucco finish. It has a plain tile roof with swept edges, brick dentilled eaves, and a central brick ridge stack.
The exterior is two storeys and has a two-window range. The first floor has four casement windows with four panes each, the window on the left having irregular glazing bars and metal opening casements. The ground floor on the left has two sash windows with one pane each, featuring segmental-arched heads, channelled voussoirs, and keystones. These flank a central doorcase with a similar arched head and a renewed door. To the right of the door is a double sash window with one pane each and a similar arched head, alongside a blocked former door. A painted shallow plinth runs along the base. The right return has a 20th-century shopfront; the gable was formerly exposed timber-framing but is now rendered.
The interior features exposed beams and joists on the ground floor, and a 1st-floor timber-framed partition wall to the adjoining property at number 10.
