Description
The gazebo, built in the late 18th century, is located approximately 12 metres east of Russell House and is accompanied by flanking walls. It is constructed from limestone ashlar and features a Welsh slate roof. The structure has two storeys. The north wall, which faces the road, includes a central blocked doorway with a plain stone surround that has an ogee head. On either side of the doorway are blind chamfered lancet windows. The first floor has two windows, each with two pointed lights separated by a flat-faced mullion. These windows have metal casements with glazing bars that branch to create Y-tracery. Above the windows, there are two decorative bands and a shaped gable that features a blind quatrefoil and a chimney with a cornice.
To the right, a rubble wall with coping connects the gazebo to Russell House and includes a doorway with a small lancet opening to the right. On the left, there is a wall made of squared limestone with coping, which contains a quatrefoil opening and curves back at the left. At the rear of the gazebo, external stone steps lead to a first-floor doorway that is sheltered by a metal canopy.
