Description

The Davies Ellis tomb, located approximately 55 metres south-southeast of the south porch of the former Church of St Andrew, is an early 19th-century churchyard monument made of stone. It features a rectangular chest tomb with a deep moulded cornice topped by an urn. The tomb has two inscription panels and recessed corners that incorporate urns. It also has a moulded plinth and a stone base, which was formerly surrounded by a railing. The tomb commemorates members of the Davies Ellis family, with an earlier inscription on the north side that is now illegible, and a later inscription on the south side dating from 1865.
