Description
Abbots Morton Manor is a house dating from the early 19th century, which incorporates elements of an earlier structure, possibly from the 17th century. It is built of rendered brick and features a hipped, low-pitched slate roof. The south-east (garden) front has a symmetrical arrangement of windows: one window, followed by three, and then another single window. The central three windows project slightly forward and are framed by pilasters. The central bay is set back from the eaves and has a French casement door that opens onto a balcony, which is fronted by a wrought iron balustrade. The two flanking windows are 16-pane sashes, with the left window being a standard 16-pane sash and the right window an oriel. On the ground floor, there is a central half-glazed door flanked by tripartite French casements, with a similar tripartite window to the right and a blind window to the left. Inside, remnants of a smaller timber-framed building can be seen towards the rear of the house.
