Description

Nos. 13-19 Victoria Place is a terrace of seven houses built between 1780 and 1820, with some later additions and alterations. The houses are constructed of red-orange brick and feature an asymmetric plain clay tile roof. They have painted stone sills and lintels, and there are three party-wall ridge stacks along with a right gable-end stack, plus three additional tall stacks on the rear roof slope, all with oversailing detail and pots.

The layout is double-depth, with each house being one room wide. The south elevation shows the terrace arranged as three and a half pairs of semi-detached houses, each pair symmetrical with entrances on both the left and right sides. The buildings are three stories high with a cellar and feature seven first-floor windows arranged in a pattern of two, two, two, and one. The stone detailing includes sills and slightly cambered channelled wedge lintels with keystones. The windows are primarily 6/6 sashes in near-flush frames, except for the second floor which has 3/3 sashes, all with sills and lintels. There are brick steps leading up to renewed raised and fielded six-panel doors, which have plain fanlights under semi-circular brick arches.

The north elevation is two stories high and has seven first-floor windows arranged in a pattern of one, two, two, and two. These windows are paired 3-pane side-hung casements set in plain reveals with brick sills. The ground floor features 6/6 sashes in near-flush frames, also with brick sills and cambered brick arches. There are single-storey brick-and-tile kitchen outshots with entrances in the returns. The interior has not been inspected. The design is similar to Nos. 7-12 Victoria Place.
