Description
This structure is a privy with an attached wall, located next to Brickhouse Farmhouse and the cider mill to the southwest. It dates from the mid-19th century and features timber framing with painted brick infill and a plain tiled roof. The building consists of a single framed bay that runs roughly north to south. The framing includes two panels from the sill to the wall-plate and king-post trusses. The north gable end has a square opening and a 19th-century ledged and battened door. Inside, there is a single-seater privy that has been retained. Adjoining the north-west corner of the privy is a 19th-century brick wall, approximately eight feet high and two yards long, which connects the privy to the cider mill next to Brickhouse Farmhouse. The wall features a round-headed archway at its center. This structure is included for its group value.
