Description
This granary, now used as a store, is located about one yard north-west of Lovelyne Farmhouse. It likely dates from the 18th century and is constructed with a timber frame and painted brick infill, raised on sandstone staddle stones. The building has a square plan and a single level, topped with a hipped plain tiled roof. The framing consists of two rows of panels extending from the sill to the wall-plate. A 20th-century door is positioned at the center of the north-east elevation, accessible by three sandstone and brick steps. There is a square window located at the center of the south-west elevation. Inside, the structure features two intermediate tie-beam trusses with raking struts, and the walls are boarded. Granaries of this type are unusual in Worcestershire.
