Description

The garden wall adjoining Lower House Farmhouse to the north-east dates from around 1750. It is constructed of handmade brick with sandstone coping and runs approximately 25 yards due east of the farmhouse. The wall stands about eight feet high and features an east end that curves downwards, terminating in a square pier topped with a pyramidal cap and an urn finial base. This wall is the only remaining section of a once large walled garden and is included for its group value.
