Description

Wishingwell Cottage is an early 18th-century cottage located on Martley Road in Broadheath, near Martley. Originally named Rose Cottage, it has undergone later alterations and additions. The cottage is timber-framed with rendered infill panels, a rendered south-east gable end, and a tiled roof, featuring brick chimneys at the north-west gable and rear left. It has two framed bays and comprises one storey with an attic containing dormers.

The front elevation showcases thin timber framing with irregularly sized panels. The ground floor has two casement windows, while there are two gabled dormers with casements, plus a smaller casement above and to the left of the central, gabled timber porch. A planked timber door provides access. The interior has not been inspected.

A brick outshut is located at the rear, and a 20th-century single-storey extension is situated at the north-west gable end.
