Description

Lake Cottage is a house dating from around 1700. It features timber-framing with brick infill and a thatched roof, framed in irregular square panels. The building is one storey with an attic, and there is one window on each side of the porch, along with an eyebrow dormer above. The 20th-century porch is glazed and also has a thatched roof. The roof is half-hipped on the left side, and a chimney stack projects from the right-hand gable. The left-hand gable truss includes vertical struts between the tie-beam and collar.
