Description
The granary, now used as a store, is located adjacent to Robin's End to the south-east. It was rebuilt in the mid-18th century, likely replacing an older structure. The building features a base made of sandstone rubble, with a brick upper section and a plain tiled roof that has a parapet at the west end. It has two levels and consists of three bays. The ground floor and gable end openings have cambered heads. On the south elevation, there are two 2-light windows on the ground floor and two 2-light windows on the upper level, one of which is blocked. Additionally, a 20th-century half-glazed door has been inserted into a window opening on the left. There is an attic light in the west gable end, and a loft door with a hoist and pulley is located at the east gable end. Inside, the granary features massive intermediate king-post roof trusses that are tied together and heavily braced, with two tiers of trenched purlins. The upper level can be accessed by external steps at the rear.
