Description

Hanley Court is a servants' wing, dating from around 1750, which has been converted into a house. It was altered in the early and mid-20th century. The building is constructed of brick with a plain tiled roof and brick ridge stacks. It is two storeys high with an attic. The front is arranged with two bays to the left, a central bay that projects and is gabled, and two bays to the right. The central bay features a blind round-headed archway and a three-light casement window. Above this is a Diocletian window. The two bays to the right have two twelve-pane sash windows on the ground floor and two six-pane sash windows on the first floor. The two bays to the left feature a three-light ground-floor casement, two six-pane sash windows on the first floor, and the main entrance, which is sheltered by a moulded gabled canopy supported by brackets. The entrance has a four-panelled door and a transom light. Inside, there is an oak staircase with turned balusters and a moulded handrail.
