Description
Oldhouse Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from around 1700, with alterations made in the 19th century. It is constructed with a timber frame, brick infill, and has a tiled roof. The building features three structural bays along with a single bay wing and an outshut at the rear. There is a hearth located to the right of the central bay, which has a brick stack, and an additional external rubble chimney on the left gable with a detached brick stack. The farmhouse is one storey with an attic that includes a dormer.
The main elevation displays irregular window arrangements, featuring three ground floor casements and one gabled dormer with a casement in the central bay. There is a planked door with a gabled canopy in the central bay, as well as another planked door in the right bay. Inside, the farmhouse has a king post and a queen post roof truss, a timber winder staircase next to the central fireplace to the right of the main entrance, and stop-chamfered main beams.
