Description
This building is a barn and stables dating from the 17th century, with some alterations made in the 19th century. It features a timber frame, incorporating some wattle-and-daub and brick infill, and is partially weatherboarded. The structure has a brick and ashlar plinth and a continuous plain tile roof. It consists of seven bays, with the two southern bays serving as stables and the remaining five bays forming a barn that includes a central threshing floor. The framing consists of three square panels high to the wall-plate, supported by straight tension braces. The trusses are of two types: one type has two raking struts with a collar, while the other has queen struts to the collar with V struts in the apex.
