Description
The main block of Summerfield House School is an early to mid-19th century large house that stands two storeys high. It features a rendered exterior and slate roofs, with later 19th-century additions at the rear. The façade has five windows arranged in four bays, separated by grooved pilasters that have wreath ornaments on their capitals and a band at the cills. On the ground floor, there are two longer windows and two French windows, all topped with cornices. The entrance porch is supported by grooved columns and includes a cornice and entablature, also adorned with wreath ornaments. To the left, there are two triangular bays at the angle. The windows are hung sashes with glazing bars, and the building has a moulded eaves cornice. There is a lower wing at the rear.
