Description

No. 136 on Lower Howsell Road is a 17th-century timber-framed cottage that has been later encased in painted brick. The building is one storey high with attics and features a rustic gabled porch. It has a tiled roof and one casement window that interrupts the brick eaves band. There are two ground floor windows with segmental heads, both are casements with glazing bars. The door is plain. Inside, the cottage reveals exposed timbers and ceiling beams.
