Description

This house dates to around 1700 and was restored in the late 20th century. It is timber-framed with brick infill, a brick plinth, and a machine-tiled roof. The house has three framed bays aligned east to west, with external chimneys at the gable ends. These chimneys have tiled offsets and detached stacks, and there is a lean-to bread oven in the west gable end. The house has two storeys. The timber framing is visible, with three panels extending from the sill to the wall plate, and features king-post roof trusses. The north front has two ground floor and first floor 2-light casement windows. A lean-to porch is located to the right of centre, featuring a square light to the front and a 20th-century door in the left side. Inside, much of the original timber framing remains. The house includes large end fireplaces with a bread oven to the west. A two-storey, single-bay addition built in the 20th century adjoins the west bay of the front elevation. This addition has a 2-light casement on the ground floor, an attic light in the gable end, a 2-light casement and a single-light casement on the ground floor, and a single-light casement on the first floor, angled with the front elevation.
