Description
Burton Court is an early 19th-century farmhouse constructed of red brick with a hipped plain tile roof and two brick end stacks. The building features a square ridge plan and is two rooms deep. The garden front has three storeys and three bays, with the central bay projecting forward and adorned with a triangular pediment, as well as a dentilled brick cornice and eaves. The windows consist of 20:16:20 pane sashes on the first floor and 10:8:10 pane sashes on the second floor, with a tripartite sash window on the ground floor to the right and a casement window on the left; all windows have segmental heads. The central entrance is framed by rusticated brick pilasters and includes a semi-circular fanlight with radial glazing bars, topped by a late 19th-century canopy over a half-glazed door. To the right, there is a contemporary two-storey wing with a hipped roof, which includes a 20th-century conservatory.
