Description
34 and 35 Snow Hill are two houses that have been converted into shops. They date from the mid to late 18th century and have undergone some alterations in the mid 19th century. The buildings are constructed of plastered brick with stone dressings and feature a concrete tile roof with brick stacks. They stand three storeys high and have a symmetrical arrangement of three windows. A top modillioned cornice adorns the building. The ground floor includes shop fronts that flank a round-headed entry, which has an archivolt and an enriched keystone. The first floor features windows with fielded-panelled lintels and consoled cornices over tripartite horned sashes, with a narrow sash in the center. The windows on either side have round-headed side lights. The second floor has two blocked windows and a four-pane horned sash on the right. There is an end stack. The interior has not been inspected. This building is part of a surviving row from the 18th century.
